Construction Update - March 2026

In the past month, crews have made progress in the construction of the primary laydown yard on State Route 4, which will host the construction job trailers and serve as the main staging area for construction equipment.
Other key construction activities since our last construction update include:
  • Limited tree clearing where necessary for access road installation and facility placement.
  • Ongoing stone delivery for laydown yard, welcome center, and access road construction.
  • Ongoing material and equipment deliveries as laydown yard nears completion

Looking ahead, activities anticipated to take place over the next month include:

  • Site preparation for project substation and GE welcome center, where trucks carrying wind turbine components can check in prior to final delivery to turbine locations.
  • Preliminary work on access road entrances and temporary turns
  • Turbine Foundation excavation
  • Ongoing consultations with OPSB staff on the project's civil design
