Pre-Construction Notice (11/12/2025)

Firelands Wind, LLC is preparing to construct the Emerson Creek Wind Farm on leased private land in Erie County and Huron County. The wind farm will consist of up to 48 wind turbines, along with access roads, electric collection cables, a substation, laydown yards, an operation and maintenance facility, and LIDAR facilities with a maximum nameplate capacity of 297.7 megawatts.

Please be assured that during work on the project described above, all applicable federal, state and local laws, regulations and ordinances will be fully adhered to.

Timeline for Construction of the Project

Construction of the Emerson Creek Wind Farm is expected to begin on or around November 18, 2025 and is scheduled to be in-service around the second quarter of 2027.

Restoration Activities:

Emerson Creek Wind Farm will restore property that is disturbed to the state that it was in prior to the construction activities.  Once the work is complete, restoration will begin as soon as weather permits.
